A comedy set in 1776 that revolves around the ancient custom of "bundling" (in which a couple chastely sleeps, clothed, in the same bed with a board between them). A Puritan maiden falls for a Hessian soldier, they bundle. Basis for the 1934 film directed by Alexander Hall, and featuring Francis Lederer, Joan Bennett, and Charles Ruggles.
