Maria Àngels Anglada (1930-1999) est un des plus prestigieux auteurs catalans. Philologue, poète, essayiste, romancière, elle a de nombreux ouvrages à son actif. Véritable touche-à-tout, cette passionnée d'histoire grecque et de poésie italienne a su imposer une oeuvre singulière, entremèlant fiction et réalité. Après avoir saisi l'horreur dans Le Violon d'Auschwitz, l'auteur, avec Le Cahier d'Aram, rend hommage aux victimes du génocide arménien et à tous les exilés de l'Histoire.
