Going to Tuscany or Umbria? This is the book you should read if you want above all to enjoy your stay. This slim “guide” is not the work of a team of anonymous researchers, nor is it compiled from painstaking study of other guidebooks. There is an emphasis on food and wine, countryside and anecdote, and a few bits of information other guides disdain to mention.... There is no guarantee the reader will agree with the opinions offered but it is based upon personal experience over more than 20 years. The author hopes it will complement a stay in this popular and much written about but still surprising part of Italy.

About the Author:
Philip Done is a former FE College principal who lives in Devon where he still looks after the dog, Ben, and plays with his train set. This is his second book, though it was finished before his first book.... It complements “book” in giving some vaguely factual information about the area in which Frank Wright's fictional adventures are set. He would still like, of course, to be living in Italy....
