Dr. Micheli graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1966. He is a fellow of the ACSM and of the American Academy of Sports Medicine (formerly the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine). He is also chair of the Education Commission of the International Federation of Sports Medicine. During his professional career Dr. Micheli has received many honors, including the ACSM's Citation Award and the Krekor "Koko" Kassabian Award, which was presented by the Athletic Trainers of Massachusetts. A resident of Brookline, Massachusetts, Dr. Micheli enjoys cycling, skiing, and saltwater fishing.
Mark Jenkins is a freelance writer who has coauthored two health and fitness books. His first project with Dr. Micheli, The Sports Medicine Bible, was a Book-of-the-Month Club selection. In his leisure time Mark enjoys playing squash, soccer, and rugby.
