Gr 2-4-This broad overview of the geography, wildlife, history, and culture of Egypt presents the land as mostly desert with two seasons-hot and cool. The history in this slim book extends back 250,000 years and is of necessity truncated to brief paragraphs spanning these years. Two-page chapters provide oversimplified information on leisure activities including sports, language, and food. A world map places Egypt in its global context and another shows it alongside its African and Middle Eastern neighbors.
