Douglas Cooper, best known for his classic Living God’s Love, is back to show what can happen when ordinary people embrace and are indwelled by an extraordinary God. "Living in the Light" takes us on a journey beyond codes, tradition, and religiosity to the power of personal, genuine spirituality—living constantly in an attitude of love and forgiveness. He shows us the radical effect that takes place when Jesus, the light of all people, dwells within the believer, transforming them into the "children of light"--citizens of the Kingdom of heaven who through their love, compassion, and service reject selfishness and turn the world upside down.

If your own personal world is overdue for a shake-up, and you’re ready to live out your calling, read this book and step into the light.

About the Author:
A pristine wilderness lake, surrounded by snow-capped mountains whose slopes dropped dramatically to it’s tree-lined shores was the setting for Douglas Cooper’s growing up years. He spent much of his time outdoors, skiing, ice-skating, hiking, and fishing. There was no electricity, no roads, and no cars in the remote Eskimo village in western Alaska where he lived. Doug’s parents were commercial fishermen and tug boat operators. He grew up on the water, fishing for salmon with nets and hauling freight on barges. Airplanes were the only efficient way to travel in that remote area. Doug was learning to fly before he learned to drive.

This background has left him with a love for the outdoors. Hiking is his favorite pastime, whether it is in Alaska where he and his family still spend every summer commercial fishing, or in the mountains and valleys of Northern California where they spend the rest of the year. Currently Doug lives in Angwin with his wife Pamela. He is the father of four children, Scott, Shana, Vanessa and Dan.

Doug is president and owner of The Alpha Corporation, a wholesale distributing firm. He also enjoys writing books and magazine articles. "Living in the Light" is Doug’s eighth book. He presents seminars on his two favorite topics, living God’s love and personal spirituality.

Doug has held many interesting jobs including longshoreman, taxi driver, deckhand, salesman, cannery worker, tour guide, pastor, hospital chaplain, family counselor, commercial pilot and flight instructor. He holds flight ratings for land and seaplanes as well as multi-engine planes.

He is a graduate of Auburn Adventist Academy, Walla Walla College (Theology), Andrews University (Master in Theology) amd the California Graduate School of Family Psychology (Ph.D. in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling).
