Review:
Very young children who are just about to fall in love with Beatrix Potter's original stories of Peter Rabbit and his friends (The Tale of Peter Rabbit, etc.) will enjoy this 12-page board book introduction to the mischievous bunny and his friends, based on Potter's classics. Readers can trace a shiny raised trail on every page, following Peter as he bounds across a blue background ("lippity, lippity, hop! hop! hop!"), a snail leaving a slippery trail, or a mouse scampering to and fro. The "surprise ending" includes a fluffy wisp of a tail as our hoppity hero says goodbye. (Baby to preschool) --Emilie Coulter
