Cathryn Falwell received a BFA degree in printmaking from the University of Connecticut School of Fine Arts. After launching a graphic design business and then a family, she began to write and illustrate children's books, something she'd wanted to do since second grade. Ms. Falwell lives in Gorham, Maine with her husband and their two sons.

PreS. A terrific book on potty training with a superbly simple plot. P. J. and puppy are both learning the proper places "to go": P. J. in the potty; puppy on the papers. The short phrases suit the normal happenings of a toddler's day: playing, napping, and the inevitable "accident"?"Uh-oh! Wet pants!" Puppy, too, plays, naps, and has an accident on the rug. The mirroring actions of child and dog are easy for young children to grasp. Large, flat characters and objects stand out against a stark white background, creating a perfect layout for the intended audience. The book will work well with both genders as P.
