Curious George at the Railroad Station - Softcover

PreSchool-Grade 2Buyers should be aware that these books are not original "Curi ous George" titles by H. A. Reyrath er they are adaptations of the "Curious George" film series. The plots are very predictable. In each, George is taken by the man with the yellow hat to a new setting (the beach, the railroad station, a restaurant, an amusement park). The man then proceeds to leave George un attended for a short time. One would think that after 20 of these adventures, the man would learn the folly of this move, but such is not the case. George then becomes (what else) CURIOUS and proceeds to make some kind of mess and/or destroy something. When his misdeed becomes apparent, George becomes SCARED and tries to hide and/or avoid punishment. While in hid ing, he discovers a way to redeem him self, and in the end the man returns and all is forgiven. The illustrations are in the style of the originals, but they are rather fuzzy. In spite of all of these flaws, Curious George is such a popular character that even pale imitations of the originals such as these will be grabbed as soon as they hit the shelves.
