The death of his ex-wife gives Daniel Gregory the sole care of his hearing impaired daughter. The responsibility is overwhelming. Her sense of failure has made her vow to leave teaching altogether and definitely not get involved with another needy child. Sarah is too hard to resist. Leigh's daily care for his daughter puts her in frequent contact with Daniel. Neither can deny the attraction between them. But Daniel has his own defeat to battle in the area of relationships, and he frequently disagrees with Leigh about what's best for Sarah. The situation is worsened by the arrival of Daniel's visiting sister-in-law. Her view of Sarah's potential and Leigh's are opposed. Leigh's opinion alienates Daniel just as she realizes her love for him. Will taking a stand for what she believes separate them forever? A Father's Promise is part of Steeple Hill's Love Inspired series. The characters are engaging with the children often stealing the show! The religious aspect is more in line with that of the television show Touched By An Angel, which should encourage anyone wary of an Inspirational romance to try this one. You'll like it!
