From Library Journal:
Evolving from an interdisciplinary conference on the nature of love, this collection examines various facets of romantic love. Psychoanalysts as well as prominent thinkers in history, theology, ethics, and other fields contribute their views in an effort to overcome a widespread academic aversion to the serious discussion of love, though they acknowledge the limitations of studying a subject so broad and subjective. With a few exceptions, most of the seven chapters in this book are psychoanalytic in tone and will be of particular interest to clinicians. But serious readers from other disciplines will also find it valuable. Recommended for academic and large public libraries. Cynthia Widmer, Williamstown, Mass.
